The Goldcrest Ensemble present an intriguing arch-shaped programme centred around three French, or French-influenced, chamber work for harp and various other instruments. Until the mid 20th century the harp was a very popular instrument in chamber repertoire, particularly in France. This delightful concert of novelties is book-ended by two of Mozart’s mini flute concerti, one written when he was still a teenager, the other a light-hearted diversion for the mature composer.
